looking for
Paid technical work in a company, a startup or research, full-time or part-time: AI/ML, robotics, embedded and IoT, 3D and geo-data. No work permit needed (EU temporary protection).

Work

2024 Feb – Aug
Software Developer, Steinfort Glas, Franeker, part-time and remote. Rebuilt most of the customer portal's front end in ASP.NET Core MVC, working from GitHub issues; its public pages still run on those views in 2026. Evaluated React Native against Flutter for an employee location-tracking system, with a build-versus-buy comparison.
2023 Sep – 2024 Feb
Software Development Intern, Steinfort Glas, on site. Automation around the company's orders: a Flask service that turns a DXF measurement of a shower opening into an Elfsquad configuration, a revenue analysis app over the order records from 2015 to 2023, and a Robocorp robot prototype that enters orders into Smart Glazier.

Study

2025 – now

NHL Stenden, HBO-ICT, Software Engineering

Propedeuse in the first year, completed in August 2026 with 60 of 60 ECTS at a weighted average of 8.7.

  • Noctivine, a turn-based card-battle roguelite in C# without a game engine, built by a team of four in the first term, September to October 2025. As Scrum Master I ran the team, and I wrote the turn loop, the fire, ice and heal cards, the route-map generator, the menu and the sound. It took first place in one category of the vote among the first-year game teams, and the project part was graded 9.4.
  • Internet of Things project, a two-node ESP32 system, December 2025 to January 2026. I built the radio controller as a remote over ESP-NOW and turned my sensor display into a gateway that reports its readings over MQTT, and documented both with wiring, activity diagrams and an ethics section. The project was graded 10.0.
  • Digital twin of Spoordok, a 3D planning tool for a district of Leeuwarden that the city is redeveloping, set by the Municipality of Leeuwarden as a competition between student teams in Project Digital Twin, a second-year module I took in my first year. I built my entry on my own: buildings, roads, parks and parking drawn onto the real site and measured against planning targets as each is placed, and a vision model running on the same machine that scores what a person would see at eye level. The municipality chose my entry as the best concept of the student teams on 16 February 2026 and invited me to present it at the Leeuwarder Digitale Agenda demo day in March; in May I showed it at the opening of the Rijksontmoetingsplein, where the mayor stopped to see it.
  • Computer Architecture at 10.0, Software Engineering 2 at 9.6, Database Communication at 9.5 and Logica at 9.4.
  • Selected for the NHL Stenden Excellency Scholarship 2026–2027 on the first-year results.
2023 – 2025

Firda, MBO-4 Software Developer

The four-year programme finished in two, on VABOK IT, the accelerated route Firda runs with NHL Stenden. Diploma 25 June 2025.

  • A VR serious game for care students, built by the whole class as five departments, March to July 2024. As one of the two Unity developers I connected the VR client to the class's login system and wrote its scene flow, the question shelf and the results room.
  • Sensor display, an ESP32 sensor node with a 2.4-inch screen, October 2024 to February 2025. I wired it, printed its case, wrote the MicroPython firmware, and wrote a Flask server that draws the charts and streams them back as raw pixels, one row of the screen at a time. It was graded 9 for the elective Programmeren van microcontrollers.
  • BCP, an EdTech startup of three: a portal where a company posts a real assignment, a teacher releases it to a class and a student applies. I was its Scrum Master and AI engineer, and my graduation project was the model that reads a company's assignment and fills in the education level, the programme and its learning outcomes: a Dutch T5 fine-tuned on assignments generated from 386 real programme descriptions. The AI was assessed at HBO competencies level 1 in June 2025, and by that summer the platform was hosted and ready to launch.
  • On the diploma: a 10 for working in a development team and a 10 for English.
  • Taught basic web development to MAVO pupils.
  • Skills Heroes, the national skills competition of Dutch vocational colleges: won Firda's preliminary rounds, then took one of the eight places in the national final from a qualifier of twenty-four students from colleges across the Netherlands, and finished fifth in the final at the RAI Amsterdam in March 2025.
2021 – 2025

Kharkiv Music College, classical academic vocal

A four-year programme I began in Kharkiv and finished remotely from the Netherlands, alongside Firda. I sing baritone, and since 2022 I have given benefit concerts for Ukraine in Friesland with my uncle and aunt, who are both classical singers.

Certificates

Projects

  • Digital twin of Spoordok, Leeuwarden
A 3D planning tool for a real Leeuwarden district, with a local vision model that scores eye-level views, built on my own and chosen by the Municipality of Leeuwarden as the best concept of the student teams.
  • Steinfort Glas·customer portal and automation
Intern, then paid developer, at a flat-glass processor: I built most of the front end of the portal its business customers use for prices, orders and complaints, and tools around its order data.
    2023–2024 software
  • BCP·classifying Dutch assignments
The AI side of an EdTech startup: a Dutch T5 that scores every candidate label by how likely it is to write it, fine-tuned on synthetic assignments generated from 386 real programme descriptions.
    2025 softwareAI
  • Terramentor
A study app I built alone and released as 1.0.0 on 2 October 2026: it plans a course against a deadline, verifies the questions the model writes, and schedules review with FSRS-6.
    2026 softwareAI
  • Noctivine·a card-battle roguelite
A C# card-battle roguelite that took first place in one category of the vote among first-year game teams at NHL Stenden. I was Scrum Master of the team of four and wrote the turn loop, the fire, ice and heal cards and the procedural route map.
    2025 software
  • Language model from scratch
A 72M-parameter dialogue transformer I trained from random weights on a dataset I assembled. It wrote Windows commands and Python expressions into its own answers for the app to run; below 0.8 confidence the app answered from a web search instead.
    2023–2025 softwareAI
  • ZSD Alpha Factory
A market-neutral stock-ranking system that dropped its own deep-learning model on the evidence. The surviving engine backtests at Sharpe 0.94 (survivorship-biased) and has paper-traded since June 2026.
    2026 softwareAI
  • GamerAI
A local agent that plays Scrap Mechanic from screen pixels at 20 Hz on one RTX 3070, plus the self-updating recorder app that collected its 45-hour training set.
    2026 softwareAI
  • Aware Intelligence
An always-on recurrent system in PyTorch that decides from its own internal state when to speak, tested in pre-registered experiments, with a scoring pipeline built for a public anomaly-detection benchmark.
    2026 AI
  • HousingBot
A Telegram bot that watches the Eindhoven rental market on Pararius, Kamernet and Vestide, runs without a browser in a 0.5 GiB container, and checks every note a free language model writes before posting it.
    2026 softwareAI
  • RC aircraft
A foam hand-launch glider I rebuilt as a GPS-equipped INAV aircraft: Matek F411-WTE, ExpressLRS telemetry, a self-built 18650 pack and a printed bay fitted to a scan of the fuselage. I flew it in August 2024.
  • Handheld radio controller
A one-hand ESP32 transmitter in a shell I modelled around its parts, sending the joystick over ESP-NOW about 33 times a second and running programs from a menu.
  • Sensor display
An ESP32 sensor node whose charts are drawn by my Flask server and streamed back as raw RGB565 pixels, one panel row at a time; later one of the two nodes of my IoT project, graded 10.0.
  • Photogrammetry
3D models from phone photos: Metashape and RealityScan scans from 2022 on, used as references for printed parts, and since September 2026 my own COLMAP CUDA and Gaussian-splat pipeline on an RTX 3070.
  • Virtual Vitality·educational VR in Unity
The VR client of a serious game for care students, built by my whole class at Firda as five departments. I was one of the two Unity developers and wrote the login screens, scene flow and question shelf.
    2024 software
  • PyGamer
An Adafruit PyGamer I reprogrammed in CircuitPython: a climbing game, a USB gamepad that steers racing games by tilt or joystick, and NeoPixels lit from a 24 KB loudness track.
    2023–2025 embeddedsoftware
  • 3D printing
Parts I model in Blender and print on my Elegoo Neptune 4: cases and mounts for my hardware builds, a replacement crank handle for a factory machine, and a published tool case.

Blender since May 2018: simulations, an IK-rigged six-legged mech, a character from sculpt to rig and a short film, then from 2024 the CAD for the parts I print.
    2018– 3D prototyping
  • RC car
A skid-steer car with four geared motors, printed suspension and an ESP32 receiver that locks onto the first controller it hears. The electronics ran by radio on the bench; the car was never fully assembled.
  • Other builds
A 16×16 LED panel running my own fire and bouncing-ball code, a phone-controlled lamp, a 12 V MOSFET dimmer, an RP2040 USB keyboard stick and printed cases.
